Our Commitment

At Abi's Foundry, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK, we pride ourselves on the quality of our 3D printed miniatures and aim for complete customer satisfaction. This policy outlines your rights under UK consumer law and our procedures regarding returns and refunds.

Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

  • You have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods.
  • To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel in writing (e.g., via email to contact@abisfoundry.co.uk) within this 14-day period. Please include your order number.
  • You must then return the goods to us within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation.
  • Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and, where possible, in their original packaging.
  • Please note that while our miniatures are printed on demand, selecting a model from our existing catalogue (based on designs licensed from sculptors) is generally not considered 'personalised' or 'made to specification' in the context of consumer cancellation rights. Therefore, the standard 14-day cooling-off period typically applies. If you commissioned genuinely bespoke modifications, this right may not apply.
  • Return Costs: You are responsible for the cost of return postage when cancelling under the cooling-off period. We strongly recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot process refunds for items lost in transit without proof of postage.

Faulty, Damaged, or Not As Described Goods

We are committed to ensuring all goods sold are:

  • Of Satisfactory Quality
  • Fit for Purpose
  • As Described

If your order arrives faulty, damaged in transit (please inspect packaging upon arrival and note any damage with the courier if possible), or significantly differs from the description on our website, please contact us immediately. You have statutory rights in these situations.

  • Short-Term Right to Reject: Within 30 days of receiving faulty or mis-described goods, you have the right to reject them for a full refund.
  • After 30 Days: If a fault arises after 30 days but within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to request a repair or replacement free of charge. If a repair or replacement is unsuccessful, impossible, or causes significant inconvenience, you may then be entitled to a price reduction or a final right to reject (full or partial refund).
  • What constitutes 'faulty'?: This includes significant print failures (e.g., missing parts, severe warping/misprints) or breakages clearly not caused by mishandling after delivery. Please note that due to the nature of resin 3D printing, minor imperfections such as small, carefully addressed support marks may be present and are typically not considered faults (see our 'Why Choose Us' section on the Home Page for quality standards).
  • Return Costs for Faulty Goods: If goods are confirmed to be faulty or mis-described upon return and inspection, we will refund reasonable return postage costs.

How to Initiate a Return or Report an Issue

  1. Please contact us before returning any items by emailing contact@abisfoundry.co.uk.
  2. Include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and attach photographic evidence (this is essential for claims of damage or faults).
  3. We will review your request and provide instructions on how to proceed, including the return address if applicable. Do not send items back without confirmation.

Processing Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email.
  • Approved refunds will be processed back to your original method of payment within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods or you providing proof of return postage (whichever is sooner).

Please Note

  • This policy applies to purchases made directly via the Abi's Foundry website.
  • We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for items damaged due to customer misuse, accidental damage after delivery, failure to follow any provided care instructions, or attempted repairs/modifications by the customer.
  • Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.
